US、フィラデルフィア出身、現在はカナダ・ニューブランズウィックにて芸術教育に携わるシンガーソングライターBEVERLY GLENN-COPELAND(ビバリー・グレン・コープランド)によって86年、自身のレーベル〈ATLAST RECORDS〉から発表された2作目のカセットテープ・アルバム、「KEYBOARD FANTASIES」をアナログ化しての再発です!

ピアニストの父とシンガーの母の間に生まれ、音楽の英才教育を受けて育ったCOPELAND、キャリア初期はジャズのギタリストとして活動し、映画脚本家FRANK VITALEのミュージカルの音楽を担当したことをきっかけに、その後70年代から80年代前半は映画やアニメーション、セサミストリートなど子ども向け番組のための音楽を多数作曲。今作にはその経験の影響が色濃く滲み出ており、彼(トランスジェンダーであったため02年男性に移行)の透きとおったテナーと、YAMAHAシンセサイザーDX-7の艶やかでエレクトリックな音色、そしてROLANDのドラムマシンTR-707で奏でる軽リズムのみのシンプルな構成によって陽だまりのように暖かく牧歌的な雰囲気のメロウなニューエイジ、アンビエント作品を完成させています!(引用 : ディスクユニオン様)
