ドイツ・ミュンヘンで2009年に設立された、 
ファッションブランド A KIND OF GUISE 。 
ブランド設立当初から、すべての生産工程を 
ドイツ国内で行うことで、ドイツのルーツに 
根差し続けることを信条としてきた 
AKOG(A KIND OF GUISE)は、 高級素材を 
使用するなど、高い品質基準を維持。 
　今回のコレボレーションで、AKOGが選んだのは1980年代に人気を博したランニングシューズ 
 NEW YORK 。当時の最も革新的な 
パフォーマンス シューズとして数えられ、 
今ではアイコンとなっているアウトソールの 
クッショニングシステム機能を高める、 
デリンジャーウェビングと 
ギリーレースシステムを導入したモデルである。 
 
本モデルで、AKOGはスリーストライプを延ばし、アイレットをDリングにすることでアップデート。アッパーとタンには、AKOG定番のドイツ製のワッフルピケを使用し、アクセントを加えている。 
 
また、遊び心として、ドイツで忠誠と堅実の 
シンボルとして知られる樫の木を連想させる 
オークリーフとどんぐり柄を、ヒールタブと 
インソールに配置。ダークネイビーとオフホワイトをメインカラーとし、コントラストを出すためにオーク色のレザーライニングに使用。 
　 NEW YORK のオリジナルモデルはドイツで 
製造された背景から、このプロジェクトにも同様に、ドイツ国内の生産背景を用いており、 
さらにプロジェクトをより完全なものとするためにAKOGはワッフルピケを使用したコーチジャケットと、同色でオークリーフ柄があしらわれた 
ラムズウールのセーターも制作。
